I'm orginally from Yorkshire and live in Exeter with my husband, two children and dog called Roo.
My degree was in Fine Art and Philosophy and I taught Art for nine years before discovering an MA in Children's Book Illustration at The Cambridge School of Art.
Doing this wonderful course meant a very very long trip to Cambridge every week and the beginning of my love of storytelling.
Last Year I was excited to win an award from 'Voices of Future Generations Children's Book Series' for my illustration for the story "The Visible Girls" and I have developed a children's book for The Royal Albert Memorial Museum, to celebrate their 150th anniversary.
I have recently joined 'Exeter Illustrators' a group of local illustrators and regularly illustrate a column in Exeter Living Magazine.
