Originally from Yorkshire, I live in Exeter with my husband, two children and a dog called Roo.

I have always loved storytelling and my childhood was spent drawing and playing outside. My work is really influenced by the beauty of the natural world.

​

I was a teacher of Art and Design before completing my MA in Children's Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art in 2013 and becoming an illustrator.

​

I was pleased to win an award from 'Voices of Future Generations Children's Book Series' for my illustration for the story of 'The Visible Girls'.
