After Christmas I missed doing the daily drawings for my online Advent Calendar, so decided to carry on with my little dog character and see how he copes with darkest January. I love Christmas so much that I always feel bereft when it is over, finding January and February a real ordeal. However drawing my little doggy helped me to see the rare joys in this bleak time of year. Here are some of my January observations - from the sadness of the Christmas tree being taken down, the small joys of garden birds, cosy times indoors and the relief of local lockdown walks.
